2006 Thornton Festa

The 2006 Thornton Festa weekend kicked off with a bang this year when George Rocha got Jerry Springer and his dancing partner Kym Johnson to stop by for a visit. The TV star and his partner are currently perfoming on ABC’s "Dancing With The Stars" dance competition (Tues/Wed Nights). Their dance this week is the Paso Doble, which is the "Dance of the Matador". He decided to do his homework and came to a real bullfight here in Thornton, CA.

Jerry and his partner spent some quality time with the fans after the fight and recorded some video clips for their TV show. With the "Jerry Jerry Jerry" chant roaring in the background we saw him take on a vicious bull….. calf.

The bullfights were very good this year, and we saw quite a few close-calls with the bull fighters and the suicide squad. A few of the bulls were a little stubborn at first, but eventually showed us why they are fighting bulls.
